Background and Experience:

Lucas was born in Fond du Lac Wisconsin. As part of a family business, a strong work ethic bestowed upon him. In high school and college, Lucas participated in soccer. In high school, he lettered in track and men’s volleyball. While in attendance at UW Fond du Lac, Lucas lettered in and was a starter for the soccer team. Lucas has been training as an athlete for over a decade and has had personal training clientele for the past eight years. Despite no longer being a competitive athlete, he still trains as one. His current PR’s for the Olympic lifts are: Back Squat 405, Front Squat 335, Snatch 215, and Clean & Jerk 285. In his free time outside of the weight room Lucas is a USSF grade 6 State and NISOA (college) soccer referee. He enjoys sharing in many activities such as hunting, water sports, hiking and anything else outdoors with his family and friends.

Formerly the head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Preble High School in Green Bay WI, Lucas oversaw all sports and all aspects of training for 800 athletes. Prior to his position in GB, Lucas completed an internship with The Florida State University (FSU). At the conclusion of this internship, he acquired 1000 hours with the various varsity sports at FSU. While an undergrad at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse (UWL), Lucas was an intern for the athletics Sports Performance department, which works with all of the varsity sports at UWL. He was also employed as a UWL Strength Staff member and Personal Trainer. Also, He has also had numerous summers spent as a Strength & Performance Coach at Fond du Lac high school. Over the course of his years as a coach, he has worked with dozens of All Americans, Olympians, and international athletes for a variety of sports; soccer, cross country, track, volleyball, softball, tennis, football, basketball, swimming, baseball, Olympic weight lifting and many others. With a working knowledge of human anatomy & physiology, exercise physiology, program design, and technical knowhow, he has the ability to work with anyone regardless of their physical condition.

Specialties: His education allows him to work with everyone from the beginner to the pro athlete. He has experience working with those in high level athletics to those looking lose weight or simply just improve their fitness level.

Philosophy: It is my job to aid you in obtaining your goals in a fun and safe manner. I am a firm believer in the tried and true methods of training. I cut through the hype of the “shinny and new” and use my education and the proven science to choose exercises that will maximize your return for all your time and hard work.
